The Asian American Business Resilience Network (AABRN) is developing an active transportation action plan for the Sears Redevelopment Project. The plan will identify next steps to make walking, biking, and rolling safer and more accessible within and around the site. The action planning process will also include implementation support, such as technical assistance or a demonstration project.

The plan will assess existing conditions and desired connections in and around the site to address barriers and support sustainable mobility, with a focus on reconnection and serving community needs. Through the Sears Redevelopment Project, AABRN hopes to transform the car-centric Sears lot into a vibrant, community-centered space that supports diverse transportation modes and encourages healthier lifestyles for those living and working near the site.

We need your help identifying how we might make walking, biking, and rolling (e.g., other mobility devices like scooters and wheelchairs) safer, more accessible, and enjoyable options within and around the Sears site. We welcome your input and look forward to collaborating on an improved active transportation future for the Sears redevelopment site.
