Design review, May 2024
Thank you to everyone who participated in the May 22nd meeting or online design review. A summary of what we heard from the community is available for review.
If you missed this opportunity but would like to provide additional feedback, please contact Cindy Morgan.
MnDOT is planning to reconstruct Hwy 16/63 and make Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) improvements. In 2030, the project will:
- Remove the entire road from Tracy Rd. to Griswold St. and replace it with new materials
- The City of Spring Valley will replace local sewer and water utilities
- Install new and upgrade ADA facilities from the Hwy 16/63 intersection to Sample Rd.
During the summer 2023, we heard from community members about their experiences with and priorities for the road. We received suggestions regarding improvements for roadway intersections and pedestrian facilities.
Based on this feedback, we’ve developed concept improvements. As MnDOT prepares to design of the roadway, we are again seeking input to help us prioritize this work.
People are welcome to participate by reviewing the information that follows and provide feedback through the survey. They can also join us Wednesday, May 22 at a public meeting. The information is the same.
This survey will close June 5, 2024.
