The City of Saint Peter would like to hear from you about the S. Third Street demonstration project. Demonstration projects are temporary roadway projects that use low-cost materials to test changes to the street before potentially investing in longer term solutions.

    Project Goals:

    • Make it easier, safer and more enjoyable to walk, bike and roll downtown
    • Create a calmer downtown street for all modes of transportation and people of all ages and abilities
    • Improve access to downtown businesses and other community destinations

The project will test various traffic calming measures to achieve these goals:

    • Bike lanes with painted buffer, which also supports people parking and unparking
    • Curb extensions and high visibility crosswalk markings at Grace and Nassau Streets
    • Traffic circle at Park Row Street
    • Curb extensions, high visibility crosswalk markings and pedestrian safety island at Broadway Avenue

Your responses will help us understand how well the project meets these goals. The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete. Your responses will remain confidential. We thank you for your time and feedback!
