Roseville’s Bike Plan will build on work already done by the Roseville Pathways Master Plan, Ramsey County, and the Metropolitan Council. It will identify and prioritize bicycle routes for improvement or construction based on safety, community health and equity goals, such as connections between areas of low-income households and transit. The plan will be actionable, with key strategies for bikeway implementation, including phasing, and will provide supporting background for future grant applications as well as identification of funding sources.

The Roseville Bike Plan project team hosted bike audits, a demonstration project and network mapping workshops on June 10th and 11th. These events brought together community members and city, county, and MnDOT staff to assess the current biking conditions in Roseville.

    Events Recap

    • June 10th: the team conducted a biking-focused walk audit of the Rosedale Mall area as well as bike audits starting from McCarron's Park to explore the Rice St. area and from Acorn Park to experience County Rd C and surrounding neighborhoods. These audits provided insights into the existing bike pathway network in Roseville.
    • June 11th: The project team hosted a demonstration project workshop, where local and agency stakeholders worked to plan a bike infrastructure demonstration project on Hamline Ave between County Road B and B2. The estimated installation date of demonstration project is Spring 2025.
    • June 11th: The project team also hosted a Network Mapping Workshop on the evening of June 11th and invited community members, city staff, and other stakeholders to collaboratively envision and map future bike connections in Roseville.
