I-694 study – Brooklyn Center to Arden Hills

This summer, we asked community members to share their experiences driving, walking, biking and rolling along and across I-694. During this process, we connected with hundreds of people at events across three counties and during the virtual public meeting, and received 1,540+ survey responses and 155+ comments on the online map.

The online survey and comment map closed on Sun, Aug. 23 and we’re grateful for the time community members took to share their feedback. This information will help us develop ideas for improvements that enhance connections and increase safety for people who drive, walk, bike and roll in the area. We’ll return in Winter 2026 to share emerging concepts.

Americans with Disabilities Act

Speakers and raised arrows on APS signals provide information about the intersection to pedestrians with hearing and visual impairment.

All MnDOT - both new construction and rehabilitation projects - must include evaluation to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Components can include, but are not limited to adding curb cuts, truncated domes and accessible pedestrian signals. Read about MnDOT's transition plan to comply with the ADA.

Specifics for this study
