April 2026 public meeting

Thank you to everyone who participated in the in-person meeting on April 28^th. We appreciate you taking the time to meet with the project team and your interest in this upcoming intersection improvement project. Some key themes we heard from the community included:

Interest in how the construction timeline and planned detour will affect local traffic.
Discussion regarding the Caledonia’s planned extension of North Warrior Avenue to Hwy 76.
Questions about single-lane roundabout design and operations, particularly for semi-trucks and large vehicles.

MnDOT is planning several projects in Houston County. Stop by a public meeting to learn more about 3 projects:

Proposed Detour

Regional traffic will be detoured to Esch Dr, N Warrior Ave., Hwy 76, and Hwy 20. Access to homes and properties along Hwy 44 and Hwy 76 will be maintained.
