April 2026 public meeting

Thank you to everyone who participated in the in-person meeting on April 28th. We appreciate you taking the time to meet with the project team and your interest in this upcoming intersection improvement project. Some key themes we heard from the community included:
- Interest in how the construction timeline and planned detour will affect local traffic.
- Discussion regarding the Caledonia’s planned extension of North Warrior Avenue to Hwy 76.
- Questions about single-lane roundabout design and operations, particularly for semi-trucks and large vehicles.

MnDOT is planning several projects in Houston County. Stop by a public meeting to learn more about 3 projects:

Project staff will be available to answer questions and provide the latest update on the projects. People can stop by to get information and provide feedback.

Proposed Detour
Regional traffic will be detoured to Esch Dr, N Warrior Ave., Hwy 76, and Hwy 20. Access to homes and properties along Hwy 44 and Hwy 76 will be maintained.
