Hwy 4/Armstrong Blvd Traffic Calming Demonstration Project

The City of St. James would like to hear from you about the demonstration project Hwy 4/Armstrong Blvd. Demonstration projects are temporary roadway projects that use low-cost materials to test changes to the street before potentially investing in longer term solutions. The goal of this project is to test out street and intersection changes to make walking and biking easier, safer, and more enjoyable for everyone. Your responses will help us understand how well the project meets these goals.

The project includes the following pedestrian crossing improvements:

  • Bumpouts (otherwise known as curb extensions) into all four corners of Hwy 4/Armstrong Blvd
