Portage Avenue Demonstration Project

The City of Mora would like to hear from you about the demonstration project on Portage Ave. Demonstration projects are temporary roadway projects that use low-cost materials to test changes to the street before potentially investing longer-term solutions.

The goal of this project is to test out street and intersection changes to make walking and biking easier, safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Your responses will help us understand how well the project meets these goals.

The project includes:

  • An 8-foot-wide shared-use walking and biking path on the south side of Portage Ave between Frankie Ln and Walnut St (County Rd 17). The path will be separated from vehicles by temporary flexible delineators (“flex-posts”)

  • Painted curb extensions (also knows as “bump-outs”) and marked crosswalks at the intersections of Portage Ave/Frankie Ln and Portage Ave/Walnut St

The survey should take about 5 minutes to complete. Your responses will remain confidential. Thank you for your time
