Background

During busy times, westbound traffic backs up onto Highway 14, leading to safety issues and delays. Additionally, intersections on West Circle Drive experience high traffic demand, causing congestion and safety problems. These issues are expected to get worse in the future.

Project goals

• Identify future needs and improvements in the area. Several major projects in the area, such as the building of the interchange at Highway 14 and Highway 44, will change traffic patterns.
• Find and choose road improvement ideas to improve safety and make traffic flow better.
• The completed study will help agencies apply for funding and the eventual construction.
