Vision

Chippewa County has created an accessible, safe, and comfortable trail network to improve the health, mobility, and economic opportunity of its residents and businesses.

Goals

  • Practical Planning: The plan is specific and realistic for the current resources and long-term goals.
  • Co-Created, Community-Centered: Residents, stakeholders, and businesses from all communities are actively involved in the decision-making process.
  • Safety: The trail network will be safe for pedestrians and bicyclists.
  • Placemaking: Chippewa County will have a destination trail network that attracts visitors and retains residents to bolster local businesses.
  • Equity: People of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds will be able to comfortably use the trail network.
  • Connectivity: The trail network will connect Chippewa County’s communities and major destinations.
