The city of La Crescent is developing an Active Transportation Action Plan. The plan will include key next steps to make walking, biking, and rolling around the city safer and more comfortable. The planning team is working together to develop a vision and goals for the plan. The action planning process will also include implementation support, such as technical assistance or demonstration project support.
This active transportation plan will replace La Crescent’s Bike and Pedestrian Plan update from 2017 and will take into account the newly built schools and growing senior population since that time. By connecting and engaging with priority populations, this plan will identify key routes most in need of safety improvements and future investments. The completed plan will further allow the city to pursue more funding opportunities to develop active transportation infrastructure.
