Public Meeting, July 2023
Thank you to everyone who joined us Tuesday, July 18 at Winona State University for an in-person session to discuss project designs and ideas on areas along Highway 43 in Winona that need improvement. We appreciated your time and discussion.
If you were unable to attend, you can review the information boards and the concepts that were discussed or view the virtual meeting video. We’d like to hear from you as well. MnDOT and its partners at the city of Winona and its consultant engineer, SEH, are gathering the feedback to refine and finalize the plans.
Please review the materials and then use the comments tab below to provide your feedback by Aug. 18, 2023.
It’s important to remember that funding exists for repaving the road from Mankato Avenue to the Mississippi River bridge and making additional improvements to pedestrian facilities to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act standards. Additional improvements are not currently funded, but MnDOT is gathering input to determine if it’s able to seek more funding to do more. We plan to keep you updated on any changes that might occur based on the input from you and others in the community.
Thank you for your contribution!
