We are working to expand safe and convenient walking and bicycling options across Aitkin. The plan will identify short to long-term opportunities to advance active transportation.

We are hoping to learn about the way you move today and how we might make walking, biking, and rolling (e.g. other mobility devices like scooters, wheelchairs) a safer, more accessible, and enjoyable option in the future.

We look forward to hearing from you.

  • The city of Aitkin is developing an Active Transportation Action Plan to improve walking, biking, and rolling in the community. This plan will identify missing links in sidewalks, trails and bicycle networks, and recommend connections to key community destinations such as schools, retail centers, transit stations, and open spaces.

We want to hear about your experiences walking, biking, and rolling around Aitkin! The survey will take less than 15 minutes to complete and will help inform future projects in Aitkin to make it a safer and more comfortable place to move around.
